Where do I start :-k I have been playing at WBN for over a year now. Ive depoed more than I care to admit. Sadly I was a CL for bingoisus b4 all the rogue drama started. Now I personally love WBN and referr new players on a daily basis. Do I think they have house players.....no Do I think they have the same winners over and over again......yes. I have never had an issue with cashouts, they have always been very quick and efficient. Have I ever had any issues with rude CLs well maybe but speaking from experience I know how moods can change and tempers tested. Is there whining and begging, of course. Yet I think some whining is taken entirely out of context. I pay $$$ to play so I should be allowed a small space to whine. That does not mean im begging for a gift. I have noticed however that WBN has its clicks just like highschool. If your not part of the "crowd" players will tear you apart like a pack of wolves. I am always friendly on site and try to help my fellow roomies out best I can whether it be answering a question or sending gifts when I can afford it. Yet I have been a regular on this site for over a year and dont recognize any other players except two my bingo buddies. I love that WBN is different. They always keep things fresh and fun and for that I thank them. The other players on the other hand......thats a different thread. I love WBN and encourage all looking for a home to try it out. And yes agreeing with Lecees the thirty bucks free thing is a total joke. Other than that I love/hate BOB Jeeves and Jeeva and will continue too till they make me thing otherwise

Hello tamiandben and Welcome!

I am not sure what to think of your critique of WBN. I guess you have to look for what is more important to your bingo playing pleasures.
same winners..yes
clicks..............yes
heavy handed control of chat talk... yes
constant turnover in players....yes
unfriendly player group....yes
free room a total joke....yes
houseplayers.....who can say for fact

quick and efficient cashouts...yes
new and different games...yes

If I had to weigh all this on my bingoscale,( and there is nothing said about playthru or house defined rules), I would have to say that a quick and efficient cashout is important,,if you can win.
Entertaining and fun because of different games? Wonderful! As long as you dont stir up the wolves!

It is super that you have found a place that you really enjoy and can overlook the uncomfortable and annoying aspects as minor annoyances.
I have to say if I was depositing and playing at a site for over a year and hardly knew anyone, had to tiptoe on eggshells to not be attacked by the resident pack of beasties and watched the same people winning, I am not sure just how comfortable I could be. Maybe I would make it a point to stay out of the chatroom and hope for a win or two...now and then.

Leaving out the cashout parts, in my opinion, you have just described most every site I have ever played at. We have to remember that we are not "allowed" to speak freely, but that we CAN email support. These emails may seem to be ignored but believe me, someone is reading them.

And I must agree wholeheartedly. Without exception this has been my observation at every site I have ever played at or monitored, and that has been many.

I believe the "gifting" is bad from the gitgo. In my opinion it was created to help the players help each other. Some sites make it easy to transfer funds to another player. BUT... in the middle of it being provided to the players as a convenience, it also became a tool for those with NO conscience to "hang out with their friends" and use subtle little hints or icons to make those who are giving feel guilty enough to give them some money to play on.

I even saw one "player" go so far as to use the death of her child as a reason to come and play bingo. She said it helped to cheer her up but since live help was so mean to her, she didn't have the money to play. I don't know about anyone else in that chatroom, but I had to duct tape my fingers lol.

So true. It seems they are threatened by newbies. I think the "newbies win" sydrome is forever in the back of all old timers minds. We have seen it happen too many times. I, too, have always been friendly in chat but it takes a LONG time at a very slow and cautious pace to become "accepted" as one of the regular "roomies".

It is great that you found a site you can feel comfortable with as far as the payout issues are concerned!! Overall, I give your review a "10"!!!! LMAO just kidding hun, it was informative and to the point. Thanks for the time to post it =D>

Dyn---the yes and no's you poointed out were right on.
Tam I remember you in the rooms, how are you?
Anyways the comments made about the pack of wolves is so true.
I am afraid to comment or add to a forum because of those wolves.
I like the games on WBN and the side games and the new slots, it was just the other things that went on that bothered me.
And now I have seen and read of one of the big winners in there wins big everywhere and in question of being a house player. She is in my book.
Oh well. Tam gl and have fun bingoing .
Have a Great Day all

Hi Barb,

Nice to see you again \:D/ I know how you feel and I know exactly who you are talking about. Everytime she wins I wanna ](*,) . And the Cls go on and on about "she spends alot of money here" Hello I spend a whole heck of alot of money and never win as much as I have seen her win. :-k I like the games on WBN, they arent the same format as everyother site on the net. The slots are alot of fun as the pokergames and keno. I like that I dont have to get blackout in 25 numbers to win a PJP like I have seen on some sites. The wolves dont scare me if they dont like me oh well I wont lose any sleep. I miss ya in BOB. Dont let them get to you. Well I wish you the best hun and hope I havent seen the last of you
Take care and win BIG
Tami

It seems to me that bingo is supposed to be a form of entertainment, at least that is what many sites claim.
Entertainment is supposed to be fun. When and if I must avoid a particular group of people or listen to their jibes or smart alecky comments, it ceases to be fun. I have been in many chats where the roomies are welcoming, chatty, pleasant and willing to help if you need it. THEN...there are the sites that have the "domain ownership" theory. If they have been there longer or spent more money, their self imposed rules concerning newbies seem to be that of underlings and doormats. They want to hold sway in a room, dictating what may or may not be talked about, hand out the rules from their perspective and gang up when necessary to get their point across. I have seen groups like this enlist the aid of the "willing" chathost to protect their right to dominate by politely, but firmly telling a newbie that the roomies are "right" and should be respected. A propensity for gang mentality at work. This to me is not fun!
As far as the" spending a lot of money" excuse that pardons so many wins as plain luck, how do we know that is even the truth? And what about those that spend a lot and never win? I dont hear a chat host saying anything about that even tho she feels free enough to advertise the spending capacity of the big winners. I would really like to hear a chat host say one day.." Gee playerx, I see you have spent a great deal of money and have not won anything" ...LOL That will NEVER happen.
Or, the flip side of that comment... Gee playerX, I see you are not spending very much money at this site, perhaps that is why you are not winning.
There are many enhancements at sites that attract people appealing to their likes, greed, and social needs , including pleasing visuals and promises of wins. Sort them out and prioritize, but do not accept anything you find wrong, offensive or bizarre simply to enjoy one aspect of the site. Pay bingo means you give money to play, not your dignity, self respect or any form of moral compromise. There are far too many sites to accept that as "fun".

I have been a long time member of the WBN network, mainly BingoWorkz. I never deposited to any of their networked sites until the end of January or beginning of February 2009. I had no problems depositing, playing the games, sending tt's to ask questions, nor did I have any problems in the chat rooms.

Immediately after running out of money to play, I made the decision to not deposit there anymore and sent a tt and an email requesting that they close my account. However, within three minutes of sending that tt/email, I received an email from them telling me that because I have multiple accounts with them, I would not be able to play any of their promotions or win/cashout anything, etc. (I have the email still.) I wrote back and pointed out the timing of this notification as being suspicious since I never received anything from them in years about having multiple accounts with them until I actually deposited, played, and spent the entire amount.

I suspect that because WBN had recently acquired a couple of other sites and merged them into their network, those particular sites are the ones that flagged the 'multiple account' issue because I also had belonged to those newly merged sites. However, there is nothing on their site that indicated that these extra sites were going to be a problem for any members who had also belonged to them.

The following is my response to their email and I urge everyone to be aware of a potential problem with WBN if you belong to any of the following sites because two of them are new to their network.

I do not have multiple accounts. If I'm registered at any of your sister sites, they might be ones I registered at years ago that eventually merged with your network and I'm not aware of that. I haven't played at any WBN site other than BingoWorkz in years. Can you tell me which of your network sites you have me listed for as I have used XXXXXX/XXXX as my only login information and they should all be automatically using that login. The following are the sites I have listed for your network. If you have any others, please let me know so I can update my list and I will check to see if I have them as something other than part of WBN so those accounts can be closed. What other usernames do you have for me that I have no clue about?

DesperateHousewives
DesperateHousewives.co.uk
BingoWorkz
WaveBingo ***new
BingoHouse ***new
BingoOasis
BingoCharm
AmericaBingo
WinnerBingo
BingoBlast.BingoWorkz.com
USABingo
AllWinBingo
ILoveBingo
FairAndSquareBingo (this is how it's typed in the URL although it's actually called Fair N' Square Bingo)
BingoComics
BingoGang

It is also pretty strange to me that it's only AFTER I began depositing to your site and you allowed $500 to be deposited, and awarded me over $600 in bonuses and all of it got spent before you bothered to even notify me of this issue. Thank goodness I didn't win a freaking thing at your site except about $90 total for the three games I won....if I had won anything significant, I wouldn't have been able to cash out because you found this very convenient loophole a week after I began depositing with you.

I have looked at my old emails that I've kept regarding this multiple account issue, and found that long ago I had registered at BingoHouse and at WaveBingo. I had emailed support long ago requesting that those accounts be closed (usernames duhhhhhh and davidobione respectively in September of 2006. If those two accounts are the ones you are talking about, I had assumed long ago that they were closed as I had requested. As I began playing online as a depositor, I contacted every bingo site I signed up at and requested that they check for multiple accounts for me and close everything except XXXXX in order to make sure I complied with the rules. If you didn't close them, that's your fault and not mine, thank you very much. You've had over two years to check and recheck my account at BingoWorkz, especially as I was updating my profile pretty frequently, and never bothered to but it's obvious that you made sure you would never have to pay out to me if I had been lucky enough to win anything once I began depositing.

I just sent you an email after tonight's bingo playing to close my account with your sites because your site isn't worth my time, money, or effort, and that email was sent prior to my receiving this crappy assed email from you, so if you were looking for a way out, I already gave it to you. Close every account you may have finally discovered for me when you should have done as I directed two years ago and closed the others already.

AJH (edited real name out)

I played at WBN mostly at BingoWorkz but when that site was down you could go to a sister site and sign in with your nick from BingoWorkz and play. Before I realized (duh) sometimes I need a hammer on my head, that they were sister sites I had opened an acct with another player name, but as soon as I realized I sent support an e-mail and requested that I just have one acct. They even e-mailed me asking which acct I would like to keep.

They accommodated me by removing one acct leaving me with one acct that I can use at BingoWorkz or all sister sites as they all flow into same rooms.

I do not play at any of their sites now as I do not agree with gifting even though more and more sites are going that route.

I am sorry that you were treated so poorly NMM, sites need to realize that players talk to players about their experiences at sites and also post at forums, bad experiences at a site travel faster than wild fire so sites should always remember good customer support goes a long way and any bad treatment goes even farther.

that WBN normally has an easy to find list of all of their sites (or at least they used to have it) and it was easy to send a tt asking that all accounts be closed that are considered to be multiples, which I had done about a year or so ago when I first started doing a search for BPU about all the sites that had numerous sisters. I specifically sent emails, sent tt's, or went into Live Help at all sites I knew I had already signed up at in order to avoid a multiple account issue at all of them. The fact that I was always going into my accounts everywhere and updating my profile for new email addresses, phone numbers, etc. left it wide open for these networks to get in touch with me regarding any changes made at their sites. I was getting emails from WBN on a weekly basis telling me about promos, comped bb's because I hadn't been there for a month, etc., and there was never a single word that they had acquired some very old sites I had registered at years ago and never had gone back to because I either I had forgotten about them, they were part of the UK sites that no longer allowed USA players, etc. Had I known they had acquired those sites, I would have again told WBN to close those accounts out in order to stay in good standing at WBN with no multiple accounts. Instead, they bided their time waiting for me to finally deposit, play out the entire balance, received my email requesting they close my account because I didn't care for the same winners in rooms that had over 80 players each and the odds were ridiculous that those few winners would continuously be so 'lucky', and within three minutes according to the email time stamps emailed me back to tell me I was basically no longer welcome at their site because of 'multiple accounts'. They gave no indication about how they determined that and it took me about twenty minutes of searching my mailbox folder for registered accounts at bingo sites to locate the two new sites they acquired for me to realize that those two old sites were probably the 'gotcha' and had I won anything substantial at Workz, I would have been denied a payout request. All through no fault of my own because there was no way for me to suspect after four years that they had recently acquired those sites without players being notified of it. You would think that when those sites were acquired that they would have sent a warning notice to any and all players at those sites that we had 'x' amount of time to close those accounts in order to stay in good standing with WBN. If I hadn't closed my account with WBN on my own just before receiving that 'multiple accounts' email from them, I would have had to forfeit any and all winnings I might have been lucky enough to steal away from one of their 'same winners'.

Let this be a lesson to all of us.....contact support via email, tt's, or Live Help frequently (at least every month or so) and ask them if they have acquired any new sites recently and if you have any multiple accounts without realizing you do. Get a complete list of all networked sister sites so you can compare that list with any saved registration information you have accumulated over the years. Protect yourself and your deposits, winnings, etc. because it's obvious that even the 'old timer' bingo sites are still yanking the rug out from under you any chance they get. Don't just look at and read their rules for changes made....some changes are NEVER going to be in the rules, such as merging older sites into their network, and those changes are the ones that will come back to bite you.

Good advice! It was not that long ago that sites were using the Multiple Account Rule to disallow wins. Sites have no problem accepting deposits from players that have multiple accounts, The Multiple Account only seems to surface when a players wins and wants to withdraw.

We went to battle with may sites that were abusing this rule and we can do it again. This business of sites only being interested in Multiple Accounts when it’s going to cost them money is ridicules. In todays Bingo World, there are many Bingo Sites and lots of them have been around for years. Who can remember where they played 2,3,4,or 5 years ago?
Plus the fact that the new trend has been sites merging together in networks.

So if you don’t have Multiple Accounts, at the site you play at today, that could all change tomorrow if your sites acquires a new site into their network.

If sites want to merge together fine. But don’t hold your players responsible if they end up with Multiple Accounts. BPU will thoroughly investigate any Players Complaint involving non payment of a win because of the Multiple Account Rule.. Sites will be held accountable if they are found to be abusing this rule. Repeated complaints can result in them being Blacklisted.

Your whole post on this subject was excellent and good advice given. BPU has always stressed read the rules, but here is an example of what is not in the rules, acquisition of older sites and players not being informed of the fact.

Sites send out promos left and right would it be so much trouble to send e-mails to their player base informing players that they have acquired a site and give the players a chance to ask any old accts be closed so they do not have multiple accts.

When a player signs up at a site especially a sister site they do have the ability to check if you have a duplicate acct. and the sites should be sending e-mails to the player saying you have an acct already at one of our sites which one would you like to keep. This applies especially to sites like WBN as all their sites filter back to one main room, and they are not separate entities.

This is one of my pet peeves because any site has the ablity and the means to check if any new player signing up has an acct already, and the multiple acct. rule never comes into effect until there is a withdrawal request. Sites have the ability to cross check many facets of new players signing up and are either lazy about doing it or are fully aware of what they are doing by allowing these multiple accts.

As on-line bingo has been around for quite awhile now a lot of us do not remember every site we have played at or even which nick we used and in my opinion sites rely on this when it comes time for a withdrawal or as in this case a closing of an acct.
