THE GAMBLING COMMISSION UK is taking over jursdiction of all online gaming and is implementing and enforcing rules that will make a difference......... to operators and players!

www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk

"The rules of games, odds, house edge and average return to the player must all be
clearly displayed, and operators must have well-publicized complaints procedures
which include an external, independent element."
We will monitor all British gambling operators to make sure they comply with our
rules. We have the power to fine or revoke the licenceses of those who fail to do
so, and to prosecute illegal gambling. We wont hesitate to use these powers if need
be."

#5 Social Responsibility Code Provisions

In this code a "complaint" means a complaint about any aspect of the licensees
conduct of the licensed activities, and a "dispute" is any complaint which:
(a) Is not resolved at the first stage of the complaint procedure;and
(b) related to the outcome of the complainents gambling transaction.
Licencees must ensure that:
Customers are told the name and status of the person to contact about their complaint.
*****************************************

Provision #7
General "Fair and Open" Provisions

"Customers must be notified of changes to terms before they come into effect."
********************************
sounds like this means:
You may not add or alter, implement rules or policy decisions without prior
notice. This means your support staff, employees, or administration may not improvise
or amend rules to fit the situation.

******************************************
These are a few rules which will have a profound impact on the operational functions of online gaming in the uk.Please click on the link to read the new rules that will take effect the 1st of September 2007.

That is good news! If the UK has regulated online Bingo Sites, perhaps BPU can feature a few of the better sites! Perhaps some of our UK Members can make some suggestions.

The main site I can think of right away would be www.jackpotjoy.com

This is often checked out and the site makes a big thing of it, Have never heard of any issues concerning payouts and this is one of the largest payout sites in the UK.

I play there myself from time to time and have always had payouts within days. You can always see what the pots and things are like and most often any technical issues are resolved straight away or they will close the site while it is fixed.

I forgot to add that although US players can't play there for money they have many slot/casino fun games for free and although unfunded players can't talk in the bingo rooms they can still access them and see what is going on. Nothing exciting I know but to me it shows a site that isn't hiding much

It is all about regulation. I live in Cyprus and the government here have drafted a bill to ban online gambling... mainly because billions go out of the country each year due to online gambling. Anyone who understands the industry will know it is not the answer. Regulation is the way forward and the UK has got it very right.

Knowing the UK market I can think of several very good sites, which include xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx... the list could go on. Here is a link to the top ten list of my site which features only approved UK targeted online bingo sites. (Sorry Candice.. no spam. Admin)
