Should people have to register to post?
Yes, as long as anyone can still read posts. 100%  100%  [ 8 ]

I would suggest that in order to end the current situation of harassment and trolling by unknown guests that BPU should set it so that everyone can read everything posted, but that in order to post one would have to be a registered member.
I feel that the current pettiness by a chosen small few posters is disruptive to the main goal of BPU, and I believe they are getting far more attention than they deserve.
This is only my opinion and I just ask that you take it into consideration.

Take Care and God Bless. [-o<

It is unfortunate that it has come to this. When we originally discussed a guest forum, it was with the idea that people could go there to post a few questions to get a feel of the forum before they registered. It was so people could find answers about the forum first, then register. I guess it should have been spelled out in specific words, but cyalater did believe common sense would reign. I think we either need to word the rules very clearly for those who just don't get the concept or we will have to do away with it. I think that would be a shame, as some people would like to use it for what it should be for.

Do you still have the guest status for some posters or is it now required that everyone register?

In any other forum I have ever belonged to it was always known that you could read "certain" parts of the forum and could not post unless you were a registered member of the forum.

I believe that this keeps out scammers and hackers and darn right ignorant people. That way the forum has the right to ban people that are unacceptable and those people cannot cause trouble in the forum afterwards.
