Warning you will need a cup of coffee or some kind of refreashment, to get through this important post!

Once again, because of our critics, BPU has to defend its Policy. To explain our position, I need to digress for a bit. There are two other Bingo Forums that have done a so called cleaning of their membership lists. David Adopted this policy some time ago and said if you don’t do a post ,your membership will be deleted and for the most part he followed through. Sometime later, with out even a mention of it on their board, OBN’s Member list dropped significantly! Apparently these sites can distinguish between real people and bots..

David lost some real members merely because they are the type that join a forum for support, but choose not to post! We all know that everyone that signs up at a forum does not do so to just post. I have always thought that when a guest reads your Mission Statement, and agrees with what you are about, their membership means they support your concept, weather or not they post. OBN! On the other hand has their own way of dealing with this issue. They claim to have gotten rid of their spammers and bots, but it goes deeper than that. They also deleted the memberships on many that questioned their honesty.

My membership has been deleted from their member list, yet you will still find hundreds of my posts there. BPU is not on good terms with OBN because we got on them for supporting the rouge site, Zany Bingo! OBN has also been under attack recently! They choose to call it spam, but its more than that! If any member or guest clicked on any of the links these so-called spammers posted, your computer was invaded with a Trojan or a virus. I have a very strong defense on my computer against such attracts, but have had it disabled clicking on links at OBN and our site. Some force has been focusing on disrupting bingo Forums. I’m sure OBN admin are not happy that we recently ran banners warning their members and guests that their site was under attack and they should use caution there. Our only intention was to warn their membership! Like the banner said, BPU protects all players, no matter what forum they post in!

Unlike OBN! BPU has enough staff to monitor it 24/7 so our members have been spared what the OBN members had to contend with. It has been my policy, just about from the beginning, that If I don’t know you, or heard about you, I do not allow your link! I delete all links before a member is approved. Like I said before, some think they have to fill in every blank to get their membership approved.. If you sign up to BPU, you fill in a standard form. I guess I will have to devote sometime and edit the form to more closely fit the kind of member we are looking for.

I am not in favor of reexamining every approved member! I believe they are part of our history record and should remain so. We must have been doing something right to attract our membership and wont allow others to discredit their membership.

BPU has been under some kind of sophisticated hacker attack for some time now! We have silently been dealing with it. Myself and other staff members have had there computers disabled, I have had invasions of my own personal online accounts, including my neteller and bingo accounts. Someone is out to hurt us and believe me when we say we are on top of this. If we need to hire professional help to combat this attack we will pay the price, and those that are behind these attacks will also. At this time I can only speculate as to who is behind all this, but we are getting closer to the answer.

Now to the topic of ooohthedameni! This member joined our house and commenced to attack our member list! If you listen to her all members here are spammers or robots. She went well out of her way to dissect all I had said in previous posts. We did try and reason with her, but to no avail, and it was clear to us this person was on a personal mission here.
When ooohthedameni ip was traced it came back the she joined BPU under an anonymous proxie ip address. This means her/he true identity is hidden! Sorry! But if someone wants to challenge BPU Policies you are not allowed to hide your true identity. Once I discovered she was using a anonymous proxie ip address, I banned her and her proxies ip’s. This whole situation was brought about by those that would love to see this site discredited and gone! ooohthedameni may seem, to many, to have good intentions, but because of the fact she took great care to hide her true ip, we highly believe her addenda was also hidden.

While I’m on the topic, I must also note that that BPU has it share of Bottom feeders. This is a select few individuals and a particular forum, that has no life of its own, other than sit on our forum as guests and copy and make judgments about us, without knowing all the facts. They than make our business theirs, at their dying forum. When ooohthedameni did her last post in our complaints forum, there was only about 4 views before I ended her crap. Wouldn’t you know one of the four viewers was a bottom feeder, who is using her post to make it look like we purposely have inflated our membership!

This whole incidence of making fly s**t out of pepper, smells like a set up to me! Bottom line here is we are very active in players issues and we do our best to help them and improve conditions in the industry! I can say our members and guest have, unlike other forums, you have not been exposed to virus/Trojan attacks at BPU, because of my no link policy and the fact that we monitor our would be members. If anything all this fuss has led me to focus more on sites that may just be using us for the some unknown purpose and I will deal with them and use my admin controls to curtail their actions.

Our critics and those that would try to discredit BPU, need to understand that they are not just dealing with one individual, but rather a whole group of people dedicated to getting the truth out. Combined we have a vast array of online experience; We also have a network of friends we can turn to when we have technical issues. Our abilities should not be underestimated! We will get to the bottom of those who are covertly attacking us. We may have recently banned a member, but we also know she is back here under a new name and ip. So the game goes on!

Cya

Wow... I can't believe that people would fear this site so much as to try to bombard it with Trojans and even attack your personal accounts. I'm so glad that you didn't just give up and that you were able to resolve the issues surrounding this. Thanks for being here and staying here.

Hope these things are not still happening to you personally.

I agree with poker princess. People are taking this way too personally and the things they were doing are just wrong!

I agree with pokerprincess about the personal attacks. However, I see that your original post was in 2007. I would doubt very much that this still goes on since BPU has gained a great reputation in the online bingo world. Enough of one that the "good" sites will come and work "with" you instead of "against" you.

You are probably right SweetRiver but I have a feeling that the "bad" sites still haven't given up on disproving BPU and their hard work and that could include some spamming and viruses.

Well, it appears that nothing has been happening lately except that BPU has been working "with" good bingo sites and that is good news to me.
