What do on-line Bingo sites really do for the players? Over the last little while I have been pondering this question.

To most of us the standard answer would be, they give us a form of entertainment allowing us to interact with players from all over the world. They give bonuses when we deposit, bingo bucks (bbs) when we play chat games, to some exhileration, to some a place where they aren't lonely, to some the need to find refuge from everyday trials and tribulations and to some to feed their addictions. The thrill of winning.

All of these things I understand but that is not what I am pondering about, exactly what do they give back to the thousands upon thousands of players that play at these sites. Has any player, including myself ever stopped to realize that they give nothing back to our communities.

In the many years I have been playing at many different sites I have never seen one site that has given anything back to the communities we the players live in. I have never seen any site say for example for the next 2 days 10% of all deposits will be given to charity whether it be The Heart and Stroke Foundation, Cancer research, ALS Society or the many of hundreds charities that we the players and the communities we live in would welcome.

The thousands of dollars that we the players pour into these sites go not to our charities, that many of us support but go to make the owners of sites richer than they are. Would such a gift hurt any of the sites that are out there, in my opinion it would enhance a site, I for one would certainly play at a reputable site that also cared about the well being of not just its players but also care about the Charities that we care about.

How many of us think of these things and wonder why sites can not do this, I wouldn't expect that this would happen once a week or even once a month but I see no reason that this couldn't be done by sites once a year even. With all the sites there are and all the players that support these sites is it too much to ask that they give something back to our communities.

It is all well and good to give players trips, laptops and the many many perks they give players but I for one would give up some of these perks if I could see just one spark of humanity from sites instead of just seeing sites and owners get richer.

Wouldn't you?

I think this is an absolutely wonderful idea! Hopefully your idea will be forwarded to many site operators and they will see what such an action could do for them. PR (public relations) is a huge part of what makes the industry work.. this would be another phase to let players know they are about more than getting richer.
