I really don't have a problem with the site but I won a progressive on slots and have a serious issue with the bank. They sent me my first check just like they said they would. I took it to HSBC bank which is the same bank the check was drawn on. The bank told me I had to set up an account in order to cash the check. When I asked them why they told me they weren't sure if the money was US dollars or Canadian dollars. While I was waiting they called the police and they tried to have me arrested for cashing a fraudulent check. The bank confirmed that the company was real and that the account existed and had money in it, but they said they believed I was involved in an internet fraud scheme and that is why they called the police. The police let me go after they took the report but the bank kept my check that I had already signed and said I will not be getting it back. The police said they had nothing to charge me with at this time but they would be in touch.

I have been a member of this site for several years and I have won money from them before and previously when we were still allowed to use Netteller it would just go back into my account. Now since Netteller is apparently banned in the US we have no option but to take our cashouts in the form of a check. I seriously don't think they would still be in business if they were scamming people. The manager of the site got in contact with me today and told me that she would cancel that check and get me a new one.

Do you think that if they were sending people fake checks that someone would have reported it by now?

Would the hall manager actually have called me and tried to deal with the issue of me having a police report filed against me if they had been scamming me to begin with?

I know that it is illegal to have an on-line bingo site in the US however is it illegal for me to play on one since I live in the US. I report my winnings on my taxes but now I am terrified that the police are going to come knocking at my door any second to haul me away. Does anyone know where I can research the laws?

I really just want to know if anyone has experience with this. I can't believe the bank stole my check after confirming it was a legitimate account and then tried to have me arrested. Is there any way that I can prove to the bank that I am not participating in internet fraud? I just won $20,000 but I really don't want to have to spend the whole amount on an attorney to prove that the site is real.

I am sorry I really don't know where else to turn.

I certainly would not go back to that bank again. Since the site said they would reissue the check I would not try and prove anything to the bank. Since the recent crack down on Poker Sites, I think banks are leery of any off shore checks. $20,000 is a chunk. If they reissue the check you may have the same problem with the bank you cash it with. I would suggest that you try and get the site to do a wire transfer into your bank account. I’ll talk to Sissy about this and see if she has any ideas.

I don't think I would want to touch their check with a 10 ft pole!!! You can use a UseMyWallet account, or they could send it to you WU or moneygram less the charges.. at least you would get part of it.

There are a few states in the US it is illegal to do online gambling. Whether you are legal or not depends on where you live.

I just wanted to let you know that I received my money without any problem and I was not arrested (thank goodness) although I did find out which states it is illegal for players to play and I was relieved to say the least. I have absolutely no issues with this site and truthfully Maxi and Andrew were a great help to me after I had an issue with my own bank. I came here because I didn't completely understand the laws and I am thankful for your help on that. After some of the things I read I was quite shocked. I have been a member there for a long time and have never had any issues. After reading some of the cashout requirements from the other site I am certain that I have found the right place to play. It surprises me that some sites have over a 100% wager rule that is insane. I feel that bingoroom is fair to everyone and im not saying this because I am afraid I will be banned. I am saying it because in all honesty I really don't see why you have a problem is with them. After I won big I searched the internet because I was just shocked but it was the real deal and I got my money quickly and with no problem from the company and not a single issue with cashout. I did not find anything negative about them except for on here and I just want people to know that if they do win they will get their money and they are very honest about when it is coming. They were extremely helpful to me after the whole incident at the bank and protected me and my rights. After the fact I found out that the bank had a report of someone locally stealing checks from a certain company and that is why they detained me. It had nothing to do with bingoroom at all!

I know that people search the internet for things like this and I just think it would be nice for them to know that even though you have them blacklisted for whatever reasons (I can't figure out the reasons and frankly wont leave anyway) but I want people to know that they do pay their winners and they do so promptly. Maxi and Andrew were very nice and helpful to me and I am guessing that the person who was banned must have caused problems for them. All businesses need to protect themselves and when people are slandering them and causing issues of course they are going to be removed. I would not tolerate that in my business and I most certainly wouldn't expect anyone else to either.

I think the hard work you do is very noble and helpful and the sites that are truly stealing money and not paying their winners should be blacklisted. However as someone who has actually won a HUGE progressive prize and I can assure you that I am a real person, I just hope that my post will help people feel at ease before they request a cashout or feel any negativity towards any particular business without knowing all the facts. Their honesty and integrity is being questioned throughout this forum and it is really not fair to them.

Anyway I have said my peace and to not expect a reply.
